Martin Heap, specialist sausage maker, has travelled the world looking for authentic recipes and inspiration for new flavours and ideas for you to try. Drawing on his experience as a chef he is passionate about using the very best of ingredients.
The meats used in his preparations are from whole cuts of meat, not trimmings, carefully garnished and spiced, then filled into natural casings. You should treat Heaps sausages like fresh meat, which also means they are ideal for freezing on day of purchase.
Cooking our Gourmet Sausages
Heaps Sausages are best cooked by frying gently but please don’t prick them! They can also be grilled, baked or ofcourse barbecued.
Weights & Measures
- Our sausages prices are quoted in Pounds (of weight) & also sold in packs of typically 6 dependant on sausage (minimum weight 450g)
- All Heaps Sausages are handmade, so please expect upto 10% variance. But we always usually go over!
- Loose mix (fresh stuffing) also has a minimum weight of 450g.
- Cocktail sausages have a minimum weight of 1kg, which is approximately 70 sausages, with a 1kg surcharge on the usual price.
